My name is Jay-Ram, and you pronounce it as “Jay-ROM.” I’m a radio MC, food-lover and former Industrial Chemist. My ethnicity is Indian-American, or as “the man” sees me: brown. I fluently speak Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Spanish, English, and some phrases in Fijian, Persian, Vietnamese and Korean. I achieved this skill by visiting many countries at a young age. The experience made me culturally aware; in other words experienced in squatting over a ground toilet, getting bitten by hundreds of mosquitoes at night, and getting my food stolen by monkeys in India.
